Software Engineer Position Type: Permanent Location: Central Florida   Salary: $65,000 to $75,000 Visa Status: US Citizen Job Description: Apply For This Job Day-to-Day Duties: Designs, develops, analyzes, and maintains software applications. Responsible for project control, quality, and documentation of work products. May be responsible for implementation, customization, and development of interfaces.Prepares technical specifications, analyzes, codes and tests programs, consistent with department standards. Codes complete programs or program modifications consistent with department standards. Debug, analyze and fix application problems / issues. Work with specialized software tools to develop products; effectively implement and evaluate new processes or plans. Provide written documentation on new functionality and code designs. Use issue tracking and source code control tools according to department standards.Participate in design and code reviews. Suggest and implement techniques for software or development process improvements as necessary. Work on regular release cycles closely with QA and support teams to fix issues and deliver in timely fashion. Support existing product releases by providing internal technical support, as necessary. Completes all assigned tasks in a timely and accurate manner with moderate supervision. Intermediate knowledge of software development methodologies and development lifecycle. Effective technical and analytical skills. Ability to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. Effective verbal and written communication skills; effective customer service skills. Ability to work independently or within a team environment; analyze problem areas and provide solutions; and accurately implement standards and procedures. Working knowledge of Microsoft applications (e.g. Word, Excel, etc.). Minimum Acceptable Requirements: 2 - 5 years relevant work experience. Experience with C#/.NET strongly preferred. Experience with SQL strongly preferred. Knowledge of TRANSACT SQL preferred. Relevant financial institution experience or related experience.
